Team Ninja says do not expect NIOH 2 follow-up

Is Nioh 2 Dying? | 7 Things I Wish Team Ninja Knew Before The Next DLC The first Niioh game came out in 2017 and had enough success to justify a suite. NIOH 2 was launched earlier this year in March. The two games received three major DLC packs each and more recently, all of the two games was well packaged for a PS5 bundle called The Niioh Collection. The name has a definitive sound because there will be apparently no more NiOH games, not at least Team Ninja developer. In an interview with Famitsu, the director of Nioh 2, Fumihiko Yasuda, talked about future projects in the Team Ninja pipeline, but specifically declared that the NIOH series had come to an end.

Nioh's first game took place in a time pocket and Niioh 2 made back and forth between events before and after NIOH. Yasuda believes that the events of both games conclude the series well enough, so they do not intend to get out a third game. Of course, developers create games to please fans, not just because they have to be created, so if fans make enough noise, it is possible to see a new NIOH game or a spin-off on the road.

If fans want to ask for a third NIOH game, this NIOH collection will be released in February. Publishers like Koei Tecmo love to see high sales, so it's your first good chance to make a statement. NIOH and NIOH 2 are available on PC and PS4, and the NIOH collection will be released on February 5, 2021 on PC, PS4 and PS5.
