Elden Ring: Game should put on larger audiences as Dark Souls

After the Dark Souls series, Demon s Souls, Bloodborne and Sekiro: Shadows The Twice is Elden Ring the latest game of from Software. In conversation with Gamesindusty.biz, Hervé Hoerdt, SVP of Digital, Marketing and Content of the European Branded Bandai Namco branch, talked about the upcoming adventure game. He said that she and from software aim to achieve an even larger audience as Dark Soul.

At Dark Souls, it was about a very competitive niche audience to something that was really wide. I would not say mainstream, but it was not far from it. And the idea for Elden Ring is to address an even larger audience. It s a big deal for us. It s a big deal for fromSoftware. We work very closely with Japan. We have three people who take care of the franchise here in Europe.

FromSoftware and Bandai Namco have the desire to expand the fan inside, so we have great ambitions for Elden Ring. But I believe that what we do, many people will fall, and that s the most important thing. That s what we want. We are not just business people. We want to create something entertaining and unique work that will delight millions of people.

An ambitious goal, because Dark Souls 3 has sold over 10 million times alone, the entire series could delight almost 30 million a few players. Elden ring should be something more accessible, for example with simpler tutorials.

Elden Ring should appear on January 21, 2022 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One and PC.
